The Power to Be

There comes a moment when God begins to shift things quickly.

What seemed delayed begins to accelerate. What seemed distant begins to come into view. What seemed impossible begins to open. But divine acceleration is not random. It is connected to alignment. It is connected to consistency. It is connected to the willingness to become who God has already called us to be.

Many people are trying to do more, produce more, build more, and force more. Yet the deeper work of God is not merely about giving us power to do. God wants to give us the power to be.

There is a grace that comes when we stop striving to manufacture a life and begin aligning with the life God already prepared for us.

God Has Already Prepared a Path

The Apostle Paul writes:

““For we are God’s [own] handiwork — His workmanship, recreated in Christ Jesus, [born anew] that we may do those good works which God predestined — planned beforehand — for us [taking paths which He prepared ahead of time], that we should walk in them [living the good life which He prearranged and made ready for us to live].””

Ephesians 2:10, AMPC

This verse reveals something powerful: we are not random. We are God’s workmanship. We are His handiwork. We are His intentional design. God did not create us without purpose, direction, assignment, or destiny.

God has already prepared paths. He has already made ready what He intends for us to walk in. He has already placed gifts, wisdom, authority, creativity, calling, and grace inside of us. The issue is not whether God has a plan. The issue is whether we will align with the plan He already prepared.

The good life is not a life we force into existence. It is a life we discover through obedience, alignment, and surrender.

Alignment Is Not Perfection

One of the most encouraging truths is that manifestation is not hinged on perfection. It is hinged on consistency.

God is not looking for flawless people. He is looking for aligned people. He is looking for those who will remain in position, keep saying yes, and continue walking with Him even when they are still growing, healing, learning, and developing.

Consistency is powerful because it gives God room to develop new habits, new frameworks, new mindsets, and new patterns inside of us. When we consistently align with the things of God, we begin to see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living.

Scripture declares:

““[What, what would have become of me] had I not believed that I would see the Lord’s goodness in the land of the living!””

Psalm 27:13, AMPC

There is a goodness of God that is not reserved only for eternity. There is a goodness of God He wants us to see in our lives, in our purpose, in our families, in our finances, in our ministry, and in our assignment.

But we must remain in the posture God has called us to.

Stop Only Doing and Start Being

Many people spend years doing what they are paid to do, but never fully become who they were born to be.

There is nothing wrong with work. There is dignity in work. But there is a difference between doing something because it pays you and becoming someone because God called you.

The danger is that we can spend our lives pouring our strength, wisdom, creativity, insight, and energy into systems that do not honor the investment God placed inside of us. We can become exhausted trying to make a life for ourselves when God has already prepared a life for us to walk in.

The question is not only, “What are you doing?”

The deeper question is:

“Who has God called you to be?”

God’s grace, favor, influence, wealth, and increase are not only attached to activity. They are attached to alignment. They are attached to identity. They are attached to becoming.

The mature believer does not merely pray for the power to do. The mature believer prays for the power to be.

When we operate from being, we are no longer striving from insecurity. We are no longer chasing what God has already placed within reach. We are no longer exhausting ourselves trying to become valuable. We begin to live from the value God already placed inside of us.

The Word Brings Us Into Alignment

Joshua 1:8 gives a clear pattern for alignment:

““This Book of the Law shall not depart out of your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, that you may observe and do according to all that is written in it. For then you shall make your way prosperous, and then you shall deal wisely and have good success.””

This verse shows a progression.

First, the Word must be in our mouth.

Second, the Word must be in our meditation.

Third, the Word must shape our obedience.

Then prosperity and good success follow.

This is not about doing random things and asking God to bless them. This is about meditating on what God has spoken, aligning with what He has revealed, and doing what flows from His Word.

There is success outside of alignment, but it is not good success.

Good success is success that does not destroy the soul. Good success is success that does not cost us our health, peace, identity, family, or obedience. Good success is success that flows from divine alignment.

God does not simply want us successful. He wants us whole. He wants us prosperous in a way that is balanced, healthy, and rooted in Him.

The Apostle John writes:

““Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in every way and [that your body] may keep well, even as [I know] your soul keeps well and prospers.””

3 John 1:2, AMPC

God desires soul prosperity, physical health, spiritual alignment, and natural increase. He does not want us outwardly successful but inwardly depleted.

What Do You Already Have in the House?

There is a powerful moment in Scripture when a widow comes to the prophet Elisha in crisis. Her husband has died, she is in debt, and her sons are at risk of being taken by creditors. Elisha asks her a life-changing question:

““What shall I do for you? Tell me, what have you [of sale value] in the house?””

2 Kings 4:2, AMPC

That question is still important.

What do you already have?

What has God already placed in you?

What gift has the enemy worked hard to devalue?

What ability have you minimized because it came naturally to you?

What wisdom have you overlooked because you were comparing yourself to someone else?

What mantle, grace, insight, creativity, or anointing have you treated as common?

Sometimes the very thing the enemy works hardest to make you devalue is the thing God intends to use for your provision, influence, and assignment.

The answer is not always outside of you. Sometimes the oil is already in the house.

The Grace for Alignment

Alignment requires surrender. It requires us to stop arguing with God about who He called us to be. It requires us to stop reducing ourselves to survival when God has called us to purpose. It requires us to stop allowing fear, culture, systems, or insecurity to define what is possible.

When God gives an assignment, that assignment carries grace. It carries provision. It carries authority. It carries a divine economy that is not subject to the limitations of the world’s system.

Jesus said:

““But seek — aim at and strive after — first of all His kingdom and His righteousness [His way of doing and being right], and then all these things taken together will be given you besides.””

Matthew 6:33, AMPC

Alignment begins when we seek first what God is seeking. It begins when His will becomes more important than our fear. It begins when His assignment becomes greater than our excuses. It begins when His Word becomes more authoritative than our circumstances.

We do not align because everything is easy. We align because God is worthy. We align because His plan is better. We align because He knows what He placed inside of us.

The Power to Be

The power to be is the grace to stand in identity before you see full manifestation.

It is the grace to agree with God before others understand you.

It is the grace to stop chasing what is beneath your calling.

It is the grace to value what God placed in you.

It is the grace to walk the path He prepared ahead of time.

It is the grace to become God’s workmanship in motion.

When we walk in the power to be, we stop living from exhaustion and start living from alignment. We stop chasing significance and begin walking in assignment. We stop asking God only to bless what we are doing and begin asking Him to make us who He called us to be.

God has already made an investment in you.

He has already placed gifts in you.

He has already prepared paths for you.

He has already prearranged good works for you.

He has already made ready a life for you to live.

Now the invitation is alignment.

A Prayer for the Power to Be

Father, in the name of Jesus, I thank You that I am Your workmanship. I am not random, forgotten, or without purpose. You created me in Christ Jesus for good works, and You prepared paths ahead of time for me to walk in.

Forgive me for every place where I have been out of alignment with Your will, Your Word, Your timing, and Your assignment. Forgive me for striving in my own strength while neglecting who You called me to be.

Today, I say yes to Your will, yes to Your way, and yes to Your Word.

Give me the grace for alignment. Align my mind, my heart, my will, my emotions, my habits, my desires, my decisions, and my relationships with Your purpose for my life.

Teach me to value what You have already placed in me. Show me what is in my house. Reveal the gifts, wisdom, creativity, insight, anointing, and assignment that I have overlooked, minimized, or allowed the enemy to devalue.

I renounce every lie that says I am behind, disqualified, forgotten, or too late. I receive the truth that You are rich in mercy, great in love, and faithful to complete what You began in me.

Give me the power to be. Not merely the strength to do more, but the grace to become who You called me to be. Let my doing flow from my being. Let my work flow from alignment. Let my success be good success. Let my soul prosper as my life prospers.

I declare that I will walk in the paths You prepared for me. I will not waste my life doing what I was paid to do while neglecting what I was born to do. I will align with Your Word, meditate on Your truth, obey Your instruction, and walk in the good life You have already made ready for me.

Final Reflection

God is not asking you to manufacture a life He already prepared.

He is calling you to align.

The life God has for you is not built merely by striving. It is discovered through surrender. It is accessed through obedience. It is walked out through consistency. It is sustained by grace.

You are God’s workmanship.

You are His handiwork.

You are His investment.

You are His idea.

Now receive the power to be.
